Focused, On-Demand Executive Teams Can Accelerate Transformation

We’re celebrating our first anniversary at Work Heartily, and because one of our primary methodologies is to reflect on the past we thought we’d share some of the transformations we’ve seen with clients over the past year.

When you hear "Fractional Executive" there are so many things that come to mind. Not a consultant, not full-time, but not part-time either. It's different than the traditional salaried employee approach. We like to frame it as a focused, on-demand experienced executive team that fits the budget and the need no matter the size or stage of the company.

Work Heartily provides an "on the team" feel but at a fraction of the cost.

Curating The Technology Experience: From “Cost Center” to Competitive Advantage

Here are a few examples of technology-focused transformation that we've been able to witness over the past year:

A mental health therapy provider asked us to help with the post-pandemic technology roadmap. Because of the new approach to delivering services and remote workforce, they revamped their networking infrastructure, audio/visual capability, IT service and inventory management, and staffing resource allocations. What emerged from the pandemic response were necessary improvements and adjustments going forward. Customers had needs for access to care, novel referral paths emerged, and new service lines took shape as real opportunities. As is often the case, opportunities not only present but compete for the limited resources in order to be successful. Work Heartily listened, assessed, prioritized, and built a roadmap aligned with organizational strategy.

  • We created a much more efficient, and sustainable process for the team, but the most significant takeaway was the client experience. Reduced constraints with technology means a better patient experience. The objective was to identify and eliminate any areas of friction.

A large specialty physician practice faced so much opportunity they were also experiencing multiple projects competing for focus from committed and skilled staff. In short, the team was reactive instead of proactive, and initiatives were over budget. Because projects were stalled, the tense environment eroded relationships and masked the root problems.

  • Work Heartily’s project and portfolio management yielded immediate relief and the team was able to move forward confidently with on-time successes. They also noticed more goal alignment across departments and a positive culture change. This organization now has confidence they are ready for the growth plans ahead. WH continues to work with them on new initiatives.

A behavioral health provider came to us looking for opportunities where technology could relieve simple tasks for a scarce and overworked labor force. Interviews with leaders exposed the opportunities to reduce manual effort and hard labor cost.

  • For this client, the bigger impact will be the reduction in turnover and improved retention. These manual tasks contribute to employee disengagement and distract from the core work of caring for patients. Work Heartily crafted a plan to streamline the process for workflow and overhaul/update the physical networking infrastructure. They have increased their daily patient visits and client satisfaction is trending favorably.
